SES Broadband Services offers
high-speed broadband solutions via satellite.
Working in partnership with local
service providers, our network complements terrestrial broadband networks in
rural areas to provide households, businesses, industry and institutional
bodies, as well as whole communities, with high-speed, reliable broadband
internet access. Our network is currently offered in Europe, the Middle East
We are dedicated to bringing broadband connectivity to those, in both developed and under-developed countries, who are unconnected and excluded from progress and growth. We aim to help close the digital divide.
SES Broadband Services is based in Betzdorf,
Luxembourg and is a 100% owned affiliate of SES, a world-leading global satellite operator. SES owns and operates a fleet of 50 geostationary satellites complemented by a network of teleports and
offices around the globe, enabling SES customers to reach 99% of the world’s population. SES is listed on
Euronext Paris and on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (SESG).
SES Broadband provides reliable, high-speed, always-on internet access wherever you are. Our network connects entirely via our satellites, so whether you are in
the city centre or the
depths of the countryside, you can read the latest news, check your emails, upload documents, or download music via your SES Broadband connection.
Your SES Broadband connection is fast and, unlike many terrestrial services, the speed we offer is the speed you get.
Our service is available with highly flexible unlimited and volume-limited packages, with download speeds up to 20 Mbit/s, and upload up to 2 Mbit/s, so you can choose
the solution that best suits your needs. Subscription prices for Internet access via SES Broadband vary across Europe but start for less than £20/month.
Your SES Broadband connection can also provide low-cost VoIP telephone calls via the Internet, so you can speak on the phone to anywhere in the World and browse the Internet at the same time.
If you have a landline of poor quality, your SES Broadband connection provides a second, better quality phone connection. In an installation without a landline, our VoIP platform gives
you a phone connection
for the first time.
When you add our optional TV pack of multifeed clamp and quad LNB, along with a standard satellite TV set-top box, you can use your SES Broadband dish to receive satellite TV and radio
from either of our ASTRA 19.2°E or ASTRA 28.2°E satellites – as well as access the internet (and make VoIP phone calls)
at the same time.
From either satellite position you can watch hundreds of TV channels in digital quality, in many languages, in standard and high definition, and for free.
Internet access and TV reception with SES Broadband are separate and can be used simultaneously. You can buy our add-on TV pack from your SES Broadban service provider, who will make no charge for its use (subscription charges may be payable for some satellite TV and radio services).
You or your service provider can easily fit the add-on TV pack to your SES Broadband dish when it is first installed, or at a later date as an upgrade.
